Luis Moscoso, an Insistent Creator

The life of one who insists is not a comfortable one. There is no room for the infertility of dawn or the leisure of evening. There is a talent and a hand, always at work. They constantly return to fix ideas, to graph emotions. Luis Moscoso Gallardo is one of them. His perseverance is astonishing and glimpsed, rotating and circumventing the immensity of the pictorial, an immensity not measured by size, but by the vast imagination extended on the canvases that structure his work.
A self-taught artist, a spontaneous one. "Pure energy or quantum vitality, his current exhibition, loads his work from the past decade. There are series: Nature made woman, Abstract, Informalism, Personal style, and Erotic, intertwined, without being or wanting to be, one of the other.
To think that colors can move, can touch, can be formats of the human condition, like the reason for the existence of the art that Moscoso cultivates. From there emerges the sequence that is presented to us today. A diversity that gathers behind contemplation. Suddenly, the unmovable peace of the countryside; at times, the painting that provokes severe abstraction; in moments, the irregular, the contradictory, the daring, the sense of belonging, as well as the attractive body, without decadent subjectivity.
His incessant work denotes mastery of various techniques, adding an intense chromaticity, prolific in contrasts, giving his strokes conviction and strength, latent energy, vibrant, to provoke an understanding between the author and the spectator.
Moscoso Gallardo is patient, hardworking, and fertile. Painting goes with him, like an artisanal comet launched into the wind, cheering up the space with its colors. Painting goes with him, like stripping away the daily irreverence, like a challenge against the impatience that despises the creative hand, like a propitiatory element of tears in the spirit.
Yesterday were the beginnings with a freshness of tones parallel to the shyness of the initial poetry, today, a worldview that brings thickness to the rubrics giving life to his pictorial language. There are no circumlocutions, no search for shortcuts. It is the affirmation of constancy, the figure of culture in the right position.
